    What Is Production Reconciliation?

Production reconciliation is the process of balancing measured oil, gas, and water volumes across multiple measurement points and data systems — including SCADA, tank gauges, pipeline meters, gas plant statements, and production accounting software — to ensure that reported production is accurate, regulatory filings are correct, and revenue is properly allocated among working interest owners.

    Why Is Production Reconciliation Difficult?

Production data in oil and gas is fragmented across multiple systems that rarely agree. SCADA measures instantaneous flow rates. Tank gauges measure stock volumes. Gas plant statements report processed volumes. Production accounting software allocates net volumes to working interest owners. Pipeline meters report delivered quantities.

These systems measure at different points, different times, and different units. A 2–3% variance is common; larger variances indicate measurement errors, theft, equipment malfunction, or accounting mistakes.

What Happens When Volumes Don't Reconcile?

    • Inaccurate regulatory filings (G-10 reports to the TX RRC)
    • Revenue misallocation among working interest owners
    • Royalty payment errors to mineral rights owners
    • Inventory discrepancies on lease tank batteries
    • Failed audits and regulatory penalties

    How AI Automates Production Reconciliation

Collide's AI platform pulls data from all connected sources — SCADA, production accounting, plant statements, and meter data — and automatically reconciles volumes at the well, lease, and field level. The system flags imbalances, identifies likely causes, and generates reconciled production data ready for regulatory filing and revenue distribution.
