What Is G-10 Form?
The G-10 Form is the Texas Railroad Commission's monthly production report for gas wells. It captures natural gas production volumes, disposition (how gas was used or sold), and associated liquid production for every gas-producing well in Texas. Like the W-10 for oil wells, the G-10 must be filed by the 45th day after the end of each production month.
What Does the G-10 Report?
- Gas production: Gross Mcf produced from each gas well
- Gas disposition: Volumes sold, used on lease, flared, vented, or injected
- Condensate production: Liquid hydrocarbon production from gas wells
- Plant products: Natural gas liquids (NGLs) extracted at processing facilities
- Well status: Producing, shut-in, or off production
Gas Measurement Challenges for G-10 Accuracy
Gas measurement is inherently more complex than oil measurement. Gas volumes are measured at meters at the wellhead, gathering system, and plant inlet — and may be adjusted for pressure, temperature, and composition. Gas production reconciliation for G-10 purposes requires matching wellhead meter data against plant statements and gathering system records, which are often measured at different points and reported on different schedules. Operators must account for measurement differences, line pack changes, and fuel gas usage.
How AI Streamlines G-10 Filing
Collide's platform consolidates gas production data from wellhead SCADA, gathering system data, and gas plant statements — reconciling volumes across measurement points and generating G-10-ready production data. The system flags imbalances and data gaps before submission, reducing amendment risk.
